Rickshaw Art
Rickshaw painting is an art unique to Bangladesh with its unusual burst of colors. What started with a view to attracting more customers with colorful rickshaws has now become an ambassador of our lives. The rickshaw is a human-propelled mode of transport on three wheels. Rickshaw painting is the embodiment of the rickshaw as it is seen all over its body. Dhaka City’s rickshaw painting is the most enthralling representation of transport art in the world. Rickshaw painting is an integral part of the rickshaw. Rickshaw painting is a dynamic form of urban folk art in Dhaka City. We can assign it to traditional art since it has remained in fashion for a long time and has already acquired the trait of traditionalism by the prolonged use of it. These matchboxes from my collection have been taken over by Rickshaw Art. This souvenir matches are very unique.
Moscow: The Spasskaya Tower
The Spasskaya Tower was built in 1491 by the Italian architect Pietro Antonio Solari. The Spasskaya Tower was the first tower of the many Moscow Kremlin Towers to be crowned with the hipped roof in 1624–1625 by architects Bazhen Ogurtsov and Christopher Galloway (a Scottish architect and clock maker). According to a number of historical accounts, the clock on the Spasskaya Tower appeared between 1491 and 1585. It is usually referred to as the Kremlin chimes and designates official Moscow Time. The clock face has a diameter of 6 meters (20 ft). The gate of Spasskaya Tower was used to greet foreign dignitaries, and was also used during formal ceremonies or processions held on Red Square. This is a very nice edge matchbox. Its front part is designed with wood. One of the beautiful matches in my collection.
Marilyn Monroe
Marilyn Monroe was an American actress, comedienne, singer, and model. Monroe is of English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh descent. She became one of the world's most enduring iconic figures and is remembered both for her winsome embodiment of the Hollywood sex symbol and her tragic personal and professional struggles within the film industry. Her life and death are still the subjects of much controversy and speculation.
She was born Norma Jeane Mortenson at the Los Angeles County Hospital on June 1, 1926. On August 4, 1962, she died at age 36 of an overdose of barbiturates at her Los Angeles home. Her death was ruled a probable suicide. This match is called cylinder match box. Playful and nostalgic, these charming cylinder matches are the perfect use in festive.
Camping Hiking
These matches are considered as survival matches. This match is very effective during any calamity. It burns for a long time. In addition to the stick, there is another material inside which helps to burn for a long time. This match is used to keep the fire burning for a long time while camping somewhere.
Australian Matchbox
These matches are a set of 12 matches produced in different match factories in Australia. Only 50 sets were made of which I have one in my collection. Australian Match Factories Remembered Limited Edition Of 50 sets. This set of matches are unique.
Break Station
Promotional matches are often released for the Bangladesh campaign. The break station campaigns a beautiful contemporary set of this matches. This one of my collection is very different and remarkable. Because it is prepared with pictures of important places of five main cities of Bangladesh. The five cities along with the capital Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Rajshahi and Khulna are depicted in five matchbox frames. I think it is a unique & fresh idea.
Souvenir match
Bangladeshi souvenir match is a match. Match six trays combined. The hand paint on the top adds to the beauty of the match. A match of creative ideas.
Bottled match
It's a bottle match. A different kind of match. It is also known as modified match. The match is made with innovative ideas. Striking surface mounted on bottle. But it is fragile because it is made in a glass bottle. It is a very nice match made by Bangladesh.
Student movement
The 2024 Bangladesh quota reform movement was a series of anti-government and pro-democracy protests in Bangladesh, spearheaded primarily by university students. Initially focused on restructuring quota-based systems for government job recruitment. However, the way the people tolerated the excessively authoritarian rule of Sheikh Hasina throughout the past one decade developed a sense among many that it is quite impossible now to wage similar movements despite having more effective elements on the ground, or some of the previous glories would not come true had those been in the contemporary era.
In the previous two months – July and August, the youth took it upon themselves to prove that the historic spirit of fighting against injustices is still alive, and even more powerful in the contemporary era. And, the world watched in awe as the authoritarian regime, once thought invincible, crumbled under the student-led mass movement, and prime minister Sheikh Hasina had to flee the country on 5 August.
These souvenir matches box of Bangladesh have been designed with protest slogans and pictures of this movement of July and August 2024.
