Greetings! My name is Lubdhak Chowdhury, though most of you might know me as Shayan. I love to collect matchboxes. Since 2023, I have been passionate about collecting matchboxes, and right now, I have a collection of about 500 matchboxes and labels. As a life member of the Bangladesh Matchbox Collectors' Club (BMCC), I am deeply involved in the world of Phillumeny. Along with collecting matchboxes and labels, I also collect various match-related items.For this exhibition, I’m excited to showcase a special part of my collection: Old Documents, Wrapping Paper, and Gross Labels of Bangladeshi matchboxes. The labels and wrapping papers I'm going to exhibit were often designed with bold fonts and creative designs to catch the customer's eye. The designs found on these wrapping papers and labels are not just decorative, but they also tell the story of an era when matchboxes were essential items in every household.
